This public course for Principles of HACCP is being especially run and tailored for University Students and those who have graduated in the past 6 months.

Why attend Principles of HACCP?

Thinking about your future after University? Looking for a role in food safety, quality management and assurance, new product development, food laboratory industries or any other food-based position?

Having a solid foundation in HACCP is essential for all of these roles. HACCP is the cornerstone of all robust food safety plans. 

You may already have had already some exposure to HACCP in your degree. However, what employers are looking for is practical knowledge of HACCP implementation and National Competencies that meet the requirements of their external standards.

Completing this course will allow you to demonstrate a deeper understanding of practical HACCP.

Our facilitators focus on real-world workplace scenarios and examples that will help you be prepared to start your career.

We issue three key National Competencies upon successful completion of this course as detailed in the Course Outline. 

Course Price

We aim to make this course accessible to University Students and to do so have applied an over 70% discount to this course. 

The price of the course is $350.00 GST free. 

We will also offer a payment plan option. Only pay half upfront and half a month later. Certificates will only be issued after final payment.

Current Principles of HACCP University Programs

Quality Associates will partner for the 4th year running with a Food Science and Nutrition department of a Major Melbourne University to offer its highly successful Principles of HACCP course.

Due to COVID this course was taught virtually last year. The feedback that we recieved from the particpants was that this format worked well as it offered maximum flexibility for participation. 

The training utilises interactive tools such as break-out rooms, pre-planned groupings, interactive polls and expert facilitators. 

All students will be mailed out copies of the training materials and assessment before the course.

Course Outline

The Principles of HACCP Course covers the following topics as well as others;

  • Food safety and food quality
  • The content of Food Safety Programs
  • Development of pre-requisite programs
  • Food safety hazards
  • How to develop HACCP plans based on the international Codex Guidelines
Learning Outcomes

upon completion of this training course, participants should:

  • Aware of the regulatory environment in the food industry
  • Able to identify typical food safety hazards
  • Know the components of a Food Safety Program
  • Know how to develop a HACCP Plan using the Codex guidelines
Achievements

National Competencies achieved on successful completion: FBPFSY2001 Implement the Food Safety Program and Procedures, FBPFSY3001 Monitor the Implementation of Quality and Food Safety Programs, FBPFSY3002 Participate in a HACCP Team.

You will be provided and guided through an assessment piece accessible for university students. 

The course is brought to life through real-life examples and explanations of how workplaces function. The content is tailored to the needs of University students and to prepare students to walk into a workplace and feel more comfortable.

Course Delivery & Who Can Attend.

This course will be delivered via Virtual Classroom. This means that anyone around Australia can attend! We will mail out all training materials to you at no extra cost. 

As this course delivers Australian National Competencies, we will only be offering this course to those studying in Australia.

Number of Max Enrollments

This course will be limited to a max of 30 enrolments. This is to ensure the course is successful, there is room for debate and questions and that each student will get attention from the trainer.
